Done for this month's *childrensillustrator 's theme of Rapunzel. When researching the fairy tale I came across the story of Rūdāba, a Persian story that outdates the Brother's Grim story. So I combined elements of the European tale (the tower) with Persian elements.I know she came out looking like Jasmine, which was completely unintentional. I didn't notice it until several people asked if she was suppose to be Jasmine. I actually researched Persian and Turkish fashion and based her upon that.
