I'm hoping for a Season 4 episode where Dash, to get extra credits for the Wonderbolt Academy, is teaching a 'Remedial Flying' class to a bunch of the usual suspects - Scootaloo and Derpy amongst others. The one student she wasn't expecting was the Princess of Friendship.

I think it would be because their wings are larger = generation more thrust. It would be fairly logical for Alicorns to fly faster simply due to the anatomy of their wings.

Let's see:
Dash has the advantage of experience, wingpower, genetic based pegasi magic, raw talent that she trains relentlessly all her life and abnormal determination that allows her to make the "infinity +1 move" - Sonic Rainboom.
Not to mention being a pilot is awfully hard. Not everyone has predisposition.
Oh and from story-telling perspective. Flying is kinda her thing so unless the writers are out of their mind they'd let Twilight being "not the best" at something.
The moment they change that there's going to be a riot and I don't think anyone wants that.
PLEASE NOOO! No more dramas! Several months till we know if it's going to be worth it (but we have comics and they're awesome so it's ok).
