Description
Sequel toI decided to make a series of pieces in this style c: Earth, Air, Water, Space/Spirit, and maybe Fire. Any ideas for Earth or Fire? I prefer real animals c:
So, the water element's an orca, cause orcas are cool <33 I like how this came out, took less time than le wolf too :'D Like everything else I make, it looks way better and more even and contrasted in color in person. <:

This is beautiful. It seems to capture the essence of a dream with the orca with the colours you've done this in, combined with the texture.

Absolutely stunning work - I love the detail of the sea, and the style in which you're doing these pics is amazing - I also LOVE the orca, a much underrated animal, and it really did come out well! <3

Oooooh this is so gorgeous! I LOVE all the different effects you used with all your traditional media! It looks so soft and blotchy and watery and.... awesome o__o. I love the flowy reefy-look you gave it with that white stuff. It makes the whole thing look kinda.. like... shimmery. Or something. IT'S AWESOME. Plus the Orca is so pretty and flowy and awesome. I love the shimmery surface-reflection thing you did with the white on his back too! Such an awesome job! <3
AS FOR EARTH AND FIRE I..... hm. I liked the idea of a massive ungulate like a moose or a buffalo. And fire uhhhhhhhh I don't even know. Something volatile and warm like a caracal or something IDEK.

Wow. For earth I'd draw a turtle if I were you. They're very earthy critters.
And for fire⦠how about a⦠salamander?

Maybe! I was thinking a badger :'D

fffffwow. This is so cool c': I love the flow/movement, composition, and the way you handled the colors/white acrylic. It gives it a great appeal aesthetically. ouo
The only thing bothering me a bit is the muzzle is kinda too thin for an orca, and it looks a bit awkward at that angle, but the rest of the picture makes up for it I think, it's really gorgeous ;u;
lol ironic how we both posted underwater type pics with purple and blue as the bg colors, but just swapped the corners xD We're so alike lololol <3
This is an awesome series so far, can't wait to see more c:
As for the other elements... well, anything can be made into fire like I just did LOL but I think birds or horses might be best? All a matter of opinion and what you feel like drawing though. And for earth... Cervines, Bovines, other animals with antlers/horns or turtles would prolly be cool. I always love the idea of either stone antlers/horns and plants growing off of them :3 I really want to draw something like that sometime...

Thank ye <3333
Yeah, orca mouths are a lot rounder and shorter, but the ref pic does not lie ;A;
Teehee. Yes. WE'RE PAINTING WITH THE COLORS OF THE WIND
Hmmm PROBS IDK. I want noticable animals, so nothing too like, abstract, but deer and horses and stuff are pretty apparent ouo
π: 0 β©: 1
Kasaurus In reply to TwilitTiger [2011-10-13 11:37:30 +0000 UTC]
Welcome <3
Well you used 2 different refs, so just the angle it's at would change the way the mouth looks a bit there. Since it's viewed more at the bottom, less of the black part would show and the white chin would look more rounded, and then the rest of the head would be raised some, so it would make up for the change c:
INDEED. SO MANY COLORS. IT'S SO BRIGHT AND SO VIVID
Well. Tis your decision in the end, just draw whatever you feel like ouo
π: 0 β©: 1
TwilitTiger In reply to Kasaurus [2011-10-13 19:19:57 +0000 UTC]
ouo
Well, I used one ref for the orca, and the other for the bubbles... xD The ratio's pretty equal to the pic, methinks.

Uhh, this is so gorgeously done. <3 I really love the shading on the orca. Wonderful job on the orca as well. I love the water spouting from it. : D For the Earth you could do a moose/deer or something like that and then for Fire you could make something like a parrot or a bird that has red feathers so it would be like fire. xD Just some suggestions for those other two.

TwilitTiger In reply to Yenverah [2011-10-13 00:30:01 +0000 UTC]
Thank you!
Hmm, I like the moose and deer idea, but I was thinking more like, brown earthy tones ouo Like a shrew or something, but they look weird LOL. Maybe a badger? :'D I think I'm going to do an eagle for the sky, so I don't want to do the same species/family of thing ouo

Yenverah In reply to TwilitTiger [2011-10-13 00:43:24 +0000 UTC]
You're welcome. : D
Uhh, a badger's a great idea. Haha... yeah, that would make sense. Then for the Fire you could do maybe something like a jaguar or a caracal? Or even a tiger? I don't know, just thought to throw those as suggestions. x3

TwilitTiger In reply to Yenverah [2011-10-13 00:45:34 +0000 UTC]

Hmm, someone else said tiger, so I might do that :'D I love caracals too though, asjdl;,j <3

Yenverah In reply to TwilitTiger [2011-10-13 02:57:26 +0000 UTC]
Tiger would be awesome for it. : D Caracals are awesome. You could do a duo for fire. XD Hurhur... I don't know... you choose since you'll be drawing it. :')
