Hello again, Tyler. I've returned here for more inspiration for the game I once spoke with you about. It seems that project stopped (the programmer was unavailable for real work) and a new project with fully dedicated team has taken center stage. Looking through these images, I'm increasingly certain that Nebulae can be generated at runtime dynamically on the GPU from sets of rules and simulated physics/erosion/colors/density, etc. to achieve Nebulae backgrounds for the game. I will be referring much to the work here, especially yours in the coming months. And I'm still floored as always at the celestial beauty you create: your late night doodles are my hopes and dreams to achieve.

Do you use overlay layers to color? Or do you just paint with the colors in mind?

I start with a basic idea of colors. Then when Im finished with everything I edit the overall colors to pull the piece together.

this is also really cool! Here I would suggest to add more stars overall, or to not distribute them so evenly over the piece. They could be a higher density on the right to help the focal point.

Yeah they wanted the star separate, I just threw some in for good measure. I'm sure the plan on animating them some how.

Quite amazing emerald Β green colored clouds their, except for the fact it is nebula. This cloud formation of gas to me simulates the effects of like the Aurora Borealis as seen in 3d with those ionized particles. What I am also interested in is you say this is for a short film, as a cover? As an animated scene? An are you even aloud to reveal what the project is besides its name Echoes of the Void? Still it is a quite well (as always) astro concept art.

It should be an animated scene in the film. I'm not entirely sure what they'll be doing with it.
