Description
Based of a what-if question that popped into my mind. What if the US never finished the atomic bomb, and ended up fighting on the Japanese Home Islands? What if the Soviets invaded Hokkaido? What would the world be like?-----

Sure it will. Modern anime came about as a result of WWII. The pain of losing, the sudden shock in rapidly changing culture, uncertainty in the future, modern anime came about as a sort of expression towards these feelings

Let's just say that Democratic constitutional monarchy of Japan has Anime just as we know it, while the commie North has Commie-propaganda Anime, but i like north Japan would act like China just like today as they rip-off their Anime and games BTW.

North Japan is something like North Korea, but on an island.

There wouldn't be a South Korea... and by this point, there probably wouldn't be a South Japan either. Both would most likely be Marxist by this point.

I would like to point out that the southern half of the island of Sakhalin was part of pre-WW2 Japan under the name Karafuto, and would likely have been part of a communist North Japan. Also, I don't think the Soviets would have invaded Honshu.

The Soviets did reorganize it as the Karafuto Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. When the Union collapsed it became the Karafuto Republic in Russia. As for the Soviet invasion, it was more of Stalin's decision out of fear of the Western Allies moving so close to the Soviet Far East.

And I clean forgot!
The North's manga and anime industry!
I imagine this is souped down mash of North Korea/China style agitprop but done with manga style.

Interesting, I've always imagined a Soviet occupied part of Japan being called something along the lines of the "People's Republic of Ezo".
Anyway speaking of a Soviet occupied Japan, I've always wondered if an automotive giant like Japan could ever be capable of building something cars equal to say a Trabant or Velorex under Soviet rule.

I can easily envision a Soviet North Japan producing 3-wheelers and a variation of the early Kei Cars though I cannot think of any Japanese Automakers that would be based in the Soviet Occupied Areas in the alternate setting.

They would most likely have to create a new company

I suppose though they would have to find some way of appropriating the designs, etc of their southern Japanese neighbour's since most real-life Soviet built cars were either derived from pre-ww2 designs or derived from borrowed western technology (i.e. Ladas being derived from Fiats, etc).
Fwiw, the Soviets apparently built BMW cars and motorcycles for a time in East Germany before a lawsuit from BMW caused them to change the name to EMW which still had a similar logo and would later go on to produce the Wartburg after another rename.
