Description
- Gombostonian grey: The classic, uniformed grey of the Gombostonian army. Slightly outdated in matters of efficiency, but the the military still uses it's signature colour mostly because of reputation. The most commonly used uniform, mostly in developed nations where most battle takes place in urban environments.- Desert brown: Specially created for the desert operations, first used in the Afrikan theatre with modest efficiency.
- Winter white: While it's mostly used throughout the winter season, this uniform was designed specially for the steppes of Eurasia shortly after the ORB agression in Afrika.
- Forest green: A relatively unimaginative design preserved for the operations in the less developed nations and jungles where the vegetation and rural areas are more common than concrete settlements.
- Executioner black: A specially designed uniform for the Kreuz Korps'... "civil relation specialists". Gombostonian occupation is always a brutal affair where any suspected or real civilian resistance is quelled right after the army secures an inhabited region. However not all soldier posess the moral flexibility to execute orders that contribute to the greater good, but goes beyond the limits of an average man, thus a special political unit was created to secure the peace through careful investigations and executions, getting rid of subversive elements. These soldiers can only be seen on the actual battlefield, if the situation turns trully desperate.

most superb work!
reminds me of the pose that scrapped idea I mentioned to you ever Skype looked like.
This just makes me want to revive it now.
I love the executioner the most. Looks intimidating, and slick. Reminds me heavily of my Federation's soldiers, what with the dark colour with red armband.
For the winter troopers wouldn't they need thicker coats or some kind of smock to keep them warm? I don't know how could the world they fight on is, so I can't exactly gauge it myself.
Splendid work all around!

Thank you very much. I would like to see how that looks in full.
As for the uniforms, yeah I knew you would fancy the executioner the most. For me, I prefer the less darker versions.
As for the winter troops, yes, that's correct. Still this is a colour scheme card and not an equipment showcase. I wanted to only let the colour schemes known for certain scenarios with the main uniform. As you can see I also didn't included their equipment, such as the poaches.

I'll get straight to work then. I don't have it on this computer, but none the matter. I wanted to improve it anyway.
I do like my sexy black with red highlights.
I see, makes more sense now. I assumed as much, but didn't think the undercoats would also be white.
You put backpacks on though.

May sound unoriginall, but I was always a fan of winter and desert uniforms in terms of military, and the same thing goes here, I really like em!
Black one looks a bit like taken from a sci-fi parody film. No offence of course! It's probably just me and watching too many comedies... And besides, it's really hard not to loose detail with black suits.

Not at all, I like those as well.
And yeah I understand why it looks that way. Way too much black with a bit of red. This is the main reason why I want to bleach out my forces a bit and why them dark soldiers get such a little role.

Yeah, that may be the thing actually! For sure it's way more original then just going "Duuh my soldiers are going to be Badass-black cuz I can!"

Indeed. Well, no matter. So far my classic grey is the darkest of all field colours, so I'm making progress breaking out of that pit of uncreativity... I mean I certainly hope so.

Not bad, but I don't like too dark uniforms nowadays. Most detail get lost in them and every third army uses black as the main colour on DA
I like the winter white the most... so I must urge my comrades to invade Eurasia so I can use them.

Yeah, that would boil the blood in anyone a bit sensitive of honour. Still, there are things must be done to ensure the Korps don't get stinged by bandits or rebels.
Napoleon lost it's triumph in Moscow to a few hundred arsonists, after all.

Ah my education is probably full of holes there, I read a once long ago that he got to the Russian capital and though that he had won but they burned the place down and it was a devastating blow, then the winter finished off what was left.
that is very true, you can learn from failures just as much from success P:

Yup, that's how happened. The Russians made very little fighting in the Napoleonic Wars. They mostly retreated, avoiding conflict and preserving forces and let nature take it's course on the French with the scorched earth tactic.

Ministry of National Enlightenment, they responsible of containing the dangerous ideologies. Ministry of Public Unity, that is usually responsible of keeping morale on a desired level which usually includes dealing with defeatists and other kind of subversive elements. Ministry of Propriety that ensures citizens live up to their classification's standards. You are already familiar with the Ministry of Purity.
A few and these mostly monitor first class citizens (Gombostonians and Ost-Gombostonians), the other three lower classes have more line they have to keep themself to.

Yeah, they take their supremacist dogmas. (unlike the neo-nazis and other highly sophisticated supremacists in our times) Of course, the government gives every mean to live up to the standards (from the job quality to the education), but yeah there's always someone who throws their gifts away and just want to live a pointless and decadent life. Something the state cannot allow to taint the culture's name.
As for the the comparison between Gomboston (yes, that would be) and Nazi Germany... not really. Many of these were things that was abhored and punished by the nazi party. Only that they didn't had so many departmans dealing with it, just one. In my story however, Tyranio (the character) divides this office into so many smaller ones to keep his upstart dynasty safe from internal intrigue. Since power in the Gombostonian Empire is inherited through royal succession rather than passed on someone from a different house, he can't really allow anyone grow strong enough to challenge that.

raspberryvixen In reply to Tyranio [2016-03-03 09:05:23 +0000 UTC]
Hmmm, I guess my pointless and decadent life is under scrutiny now, eh? *laughs*
That comparison, yes, a little harsh indeed, but you hit right on what I was going for...the many different departments. Although, like the SA and the SS and their fighting, wouldn't you have the same issues between the many Gombostonian departments? Just because there's smaller offices to do different jobs, there's always going to be an issue one way or another...

Tyranio In reply to raspberryvixen [2016-03-03 09:24:20 +0000 UTC]
You? No offense, but how you live your life does not concern the state. You would be a second class citizen at best, which means the point of your existence is to pay higher taxes and produce goods satisfying the everyday needs of the Empire's citizen.
Most of these standards only apply to the master race after all. Letting lesser races live a less restricted life actually proves their point... of course that freedom comes with a prize, but different rules apply.
Not quite. It would've been a problem for the succession in a long run, but on the short run succession itself became the problem. As you can see in the archives there are two heirs to the throne, the Beauregard twins, who shall exercise power as Dinarchs (half-kings) and fight an unofficial cold war for supremacy, each with it's own organizations and ideologies. During this time all these departmans join forces to try to supress the two heirs and break the absolute monarchy into a constitutional one at worst.
So yeah, the issue is there on the Gombostonian dominated planet (At first it was called Etiarien, but then got renamed Gomboston after Tyranio's successful world domination) among the three faction's.
Katherina's Federalists, Wilhelm's Imperialists and the independent Gombostonian's Loyalist factions.

Hmmm, My favourite Here would be the winterwear scheme & the Executioner Black, Although, growing up as a kid I had a WW2 Wehrmacht soldier action figure that had his own cloth clothing, gun & leather webbing with tiny magazines in. His color scheme was very similar to the Forest green you have here. I suppose for practical purposes it's fine actually, although you can never go wrong with the traditional grey for this type of army.

Tyranio In reply to CatzK3 [2016-03-02 18:40:23 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, the army will look the slickest when we go slaughtering ORB. As for the other accessories, yeah I know about the pouches. Still this was meant to only show off the main uniform. Pouches and special equipment differ with each weapon or purposes.
And yeah The forest green goes the closest to traditional Wehrmacht.
Btw, the KK will use Gombostonian grey at the battle of sentinel. You asked about the colour scheme before.
