Description
***Notice***I had a lot of comments asking about the Element Psion. To clear things up, Psion is my fancy shortening of the word psionics, which is basically psychic powers. Those powers range from mind manipulation, illusions, telekinesis, teleportation, thought bomb, etc.
Based on the Legend of Spyro trilogy
Light, Psion, Water, Spirit, Nature, and Plasma are extras and non-canon.
Originally, I had planned to stamp the spheres with their respective icons, but the procedure proved to be too much of a hassle for me.
I might go back to this project and make some improvements to the presentation sheet.

"Convexity" should be named "Aether" as Convexity is merely the name of the final level in A New Beginning, and according to Jared Pullen aka That-Spyro-Guy on Deviantart the unnamed element is named in the game's source code as Aether.

A+ for effort, but I don't think you can convince me to change something so trivial on a piece that is almost a decade old, of which I don't even have the original Adobe Photoshop copy anymore. Sorry.

(Actually, it's yours. But I find it very intriguing. )

I was Google searching elements when this showed up. And when I saw it, I was like "the top row is Spyro's elements and the second row in Cynder's elements" so I had to check it out.

WaitwaitWAIT! Where'd all the extra ones come from??? If I remember correctly, the only LoS elements were fire, electricity, ice, earth, poison, fear, wind, shadow, and convexity. Are the others from a fan game? If so, PLEASE TELL ME I WANT TO TRY IT X'D

If there really is a fan game out there, I am unaware of such. And this art piece was done more than six years ago. If you count the elements for the Skylanders games, I guess the water, light, and life elements are canon now, in a way.
But for the Legend of Spyro universe, it's just going to be stuck with what it had. Activision is essentially done promoting Spyro for the Skylanders games, now that they have a strong consumer group. Let's face it, they used Spyro as a marketing tool to draw kids to their new franchise, a franchise that may not of really needed him there in the first place to be successful.
I really have my doubts that they will revive the Spyro franchise anytime soon.

Me evrytim: FRICK >:V
RIP - Spyro 1998-2008
The struggle.
Seriously though they could just take Spyro out of Skylanders and no one would even notice <3
Except a select few. Eh.
(New Skylanders getting terrible rating.. Compared to the others I guess.)
Also still confused. Did ya just come up w/ those other elements? :V
If so, could we combine forces to make a new game? >
I'm sure Activision wouldn't give any honest craps... I think..
Woo.
Look at how sloppy and random this reply is lmao

One of the golden rules of ideas: If you come up with what you think is an original idea, someone else has already pitched it into the world, over 90% of the time. All we have at that point are original variations of an idea.
Thanks in no small part to the internet, this rule cannot be anymore true now. Those extra elements were floating around the fantasy genre for decades already. I just borrowed the ideas and make elemental balls out of them like everyone else.
Funny thing, I had thought about the gaming industry career, but I had decided that this industry is too competitive, cutthroat, ruthless, and unforgiving for my liking. Besides that, I would rather not risk a slightly potential lawsuit slap by Activision.

It's so true that it hurts.
Sososos true.
Also it's not all that bad. I just do what I want and no one else seems to give any craps. And they wouldn't really get upset unless you made money off of it.
I mean, I could ask them and stuff, but they probably just wouldn't care anyways. They're too big compared to little unknown me. But they'd still attack if I made money.
Unless they're like Hasbro.
Oh nooooooo
Should look that up.

Personally I like to think that there are only thirteen elements:
Fire, water, earth, wind, electricity, ice, poison, nature, light, shadow(or darkness), time(temporal), space(celestial), and spirit.

I don't understand Convexity and how it could possibly be an element. Could anyone explain that a bit?

Tyroth-Dartvyn In reply to KanteViler [2014-10-02 16:38:22 +0000 UTC]
The element itself, from the looks of things in the Legend of Spyro trilogy, appears to be pure dragon power and a diverse, unpredictable, and less understood one at that. The random term "Convexity" was the name of the last level of the first game and, coincidently, the first time this fifth element was used. So the name and the element were stuck together that way, mostly by the fans I reckon. I guess people cannot come up with a better name than the state of being convex. Also worth noting, the game designers thought it was a good idea to turn an emotional state into an element. Logic.
To be fair, fictional material can never make sense most of the time; "Nintendo Logic," like an Italian plumber in a mushroom kingdom fighting a dragon-turtle, is a mind-boggling example. Yet we just roll with it because our logic would just commit suicide otherwise.

Yeah, it might as well been called the Spiritual element. But no, they went for Convexity, as if it's some other hidden power exclusive to dragons of this world. There is just no comprehension with these video games.

I said Cosmic, not Spiritual. Besides, you already have Spirit of your chart.

Eh, cosmic energy has been made synonymous with spiritual energy in some works. I might as well fuse them together and call it Kamehameha.

Can anyone please explain to me, as an element, what exactly is Plasma?
What does it do and how does it differ from Fire, Lighting or Ice?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Bysthedragon In reply to TheElementalLord [2014-05-06 21:10:12 +0000 UTC]
In simple terms Plasma is the next stage of matter after gas. It' super heated and has an ionic charge.
Take lightsabers as example, though they are called a "laser sword" they wouldn't actually be made of laser light, otherwise they wouldn't have that end point and it would be like fighting with flash lights, the beams don't clash each other, they just pass right through. Because Plasma has an ionic charge, they are able to burn through solid mass but they clash like a solid when in contact with another plasma, and it can be shaped so that it comes to an end point.

Some of the spheres have cropped and manipulated photos from random spots on the Internet years ago. Not exactly sure what could happen.
