Formerly a scientist who had no desire to even take part in the war between the Autobots and Decepticons. It was only through circumstance and a bit of bad luck that he wound up in the ranks of the red colors. Reluctant in his new role for quite some time he did not have much sympathy for the Autobot cause seeing it no different than Decepticon in many ways….but as his years in military service dragged on longer and longer he bared witness to horrors that only Decepticons were capable of. Bearing witness to scientific achievements he once admired being twisted and corrupted by the brilliant minds who should know better, science that had great potential for progress instead used to destroy the lives of countless innocents. The more his time as an Autobot dragged, the more he start to realize why he was needed, why he had to fight.
