To be honest, I much prefer the mane six as dinosaurs, rather than seeing them as Eohippus or something.
Of course I find it ironic that Spike being a reptile, in this draw is a monkey.
And that Fluttershy is a winged T-rex, perhaps it is to refer that it is a Pegasus.
And seeing this picture, unicorns are dinosaurs with magical horns, spikes or shells which replace the unicorn horns?

Actually hadrosaurids don't have thick skulls, you're thinking of a Pachycephalosaurus, as for Spike, he looks more like a monkey if you look closely.
