This is the character select portrait of Balrog for the upcoming Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix game coming out on XBox Live and the Playstation network.

Balrog's always been my favorite (I'm a Tyson fan as well), and it always bothered me a bit how in recent years the artwork for him has taken away his Tyson-esqe look, nice to see he looks a bit more like Iron Mike again!

Reminds me of Tyson.
Originally, Vega was supposed to be named Balrog, because he was always jumping around like a monkey. I guess they thought a name relating to a monkey would better fit a......black man. That's not offensive at all!
And Balrog was supposed to be named Bison, because of his strong body. And Bison was supposed to be called Vega.

Your reasons behind why the names were changed is incorrect. There was no racial reason for the name switch. The word "Balrog" has nothing to do with monkeys at all.
Those original names are all still used in the original Japanese version of Street Fighter. The names were swapped because "M. Bison" was too close to "Mike Tyson" and Capcom USA was concerned about being sued by Mike Tyson's promoters. Look at the names, Bison is another word for buffalo and several of the boxer's moves are called things like the "Crazy Buffalo" and the "Buffalo Headbutt".
It was easier to just have the arcade hardware swap names than to program in brand new names, hence the 3 switched names.

I'm pretty sure that Vega(Claw) was originally named Balrog in reference to Tolkien's Balrog creature, who was a hideous beast.
It was meant as irony that a man so obsessed with his beauty would have the name of something so ugly. Kinda cool really.
