Just a quick playaround with some characters (yes, plural) that Kirei and I are planning on using in the opening of a manga. They are unrelated, but the only difference between them is that Kara has glasses. Kara also has this unexplainable (yeah, right) desire to get into Rami's pants.

*Ahem* Anyway...
The drawings are rather good, but they look a LOT like Kurama from YuYu Hakusho. They may look less like that in color, but the resembelence (spelling?) is still strong....a little too strong, perhaps. If you tweak the bangs a little, the resemblence will diminish. Otherwise, I like!

Okay, here's the deal with Kara and Rami...they were actually supposed to be Kurama and his Look-alike from a very badly subbed underground anime called Fishtrap, a guy named Karakawa-san. I wanted to tweak them so that they still looked SIMILAR but not the same. I don't think I succeeded, if you recognized them...T_T

Hey, it's alright. We all do stuff like that. It's just that if you intend to actually USE the characters, legally speaking, they have to be at least 30% different. Better safe than sorry. And like I said, the bangs are the real give-away; maybe if you make them a little less angular they'd be different enough?
