This is an ambitious project I started, a short comic about the origins of my vampire OC Elijah. ^^ I decided to keep his usual hairdo here, it just becomes him. *lol* Most of the text in this one is my own translation of "Wรคr ich der Wind" (If I would be the wind) sung by Mina in the Musical "Dracula" ^^

There are interesting similarities - and differences - between Elijah as he appears here, and Jonathan in "Bad Things". Both are attracted to the darkness, tempted by it, seduced by it, but Jonathan in "Bad Things" is in denial. He's trying very hard not to think about what he's doing - he's trying to use the dance and the music and the feel of Christopher's body against his to drown out his conscience, and maybe even conscious thought. His eyes are closed, literally and metaphorically.
Elijah's eyes are open. He knows what he's doing, he knows it's wrong, and maybe a part of himself wants to be punished for it - the way he cuts himself with his mother's cross makes me think that maybe he's imagining her reaction to what he's doing - but he's doing it anyway, deliberately and thoughtfully. His actions are completely premeditated. I think Elijah, though he has a good side to his nature, also has more darkness and cruelty in his character than Jonathan does. In terms of their personalities, Elijah seems much more naturally suited to being a vampire than Jonathan is.

You're right, jon is a bit like Elijah but they are also very different. Elijah really has a very dark side to him which is shining through here a bit. I wanted to show that with the act of cutting himself with the cross. He loves his mother but the same moment he despises her for not helping him when he needed her.
Jonathan actually is innocent, he may be big mouthed but he is innocent in his core. he wants to love and be loved but Elijah, at least in this moment, is lost in a dark place, swept away by sadness and lust for revenge. There will be a scene of him a bit later which will make things much, much more clear
