Description Commission work for JezMiller , his Gangrel character Matthew Fitz-Ranulf in his medieval look. (let's not talk about the fashionable hair, okay?)

He's a real beauty. He's the latest of my characters that Uly has brought to vivid life. He has a true gift for making them feel real to me.

Stop it! I might start believing in myself as an artist! We can't have that.

It's true, though. There are characters who I created years before I met you online - Eirik Haraldsson, Marc de Brabant, Ian Grendel, Megan of Bristol, Damian Tyrell, Adam Bell, Ranulf Fitz Rufus, Nick Baron, Thomas Wyncham, Katherine Malcolm, Caradoc - who suddenly seemed to come to life in my mind when you illustrated them. They were vivid in a way they'd never been before. With a lot of my more recent characters, like Cypher and Galen and their human allies, Bryn Celyn, Flynn Bishop, and Ryan McGrath, you helped define my view of them from the start. People often talk about "bringing characters to life" as a metaphor, but that really is what it feels like.
