Description
Yeah, I don't really know what this. It rendered for over 10h so I slapped some minor postwork on it. Moving on *lol*Related content

The actual version was even larger but I usually size it down a little. Thank you

It's very cute, but I can tell you now the reason it rendered from so long is the fibermesh hairstyles. Velkan's not so bad, since it's short hair, but longer fibermesh styles, like on Jon, will just... eat your soul.
That said, gorgeous work as always, love!

According to some, fibermesh actually loads slower but renders faster than hair which is polygon and transparency based but I really don't see much of a difference once light and shadow gets involved XD Sadly, I have a tendency to go for contrasts and lots of shadows and those take so goddamn long in physics-based render engines. I miss the days of 30 min renders in Poser XD
Thank you

I suspect that may be true on high end PCs, but I know on mine that the fibermesh hairstyles are resource hogs that will even sometimes crash DS or my entire computer as it tries to process all the little details and such. 😭 transmapped hair may actually render slower, but the pre-processing time on my PC to GET to that stage takes forever... which is a shame because I adore the way fibermesh hair looks.

Ah, I remember that plight too well. I buffed up my PC to 32 RAM earlier this year, that's when I finally gave in and started using Daz and Genesis. Before that, even thinking about using a fibermesh prop gave my PC a seizure.

Mine's still a lil 8 gb ram PC with a 4 gb ram video card. The only thing that's still up to par, sort of, is the CPU, which is still only like 'oh, this is mid range now'.
Roomie's said that come tax season, we're going to look into getting me a new PC, if finances can handle it.

So if this is what you slap together I’d love to see what you put effort into.

Check your log file, look for two renders going on. Itterations jumping from, say 25 to 355 to 26 to 360 .... That's the problem I was having. Oh, and well done, it's great!

Hm, it doesn't seem to be that but there are some error messages mixed into the log but it seems the render continued nevertheless.
Thank you

Well, it could have easily been that. I have almost no knowledge of the inner workings of Daz yet aside from what my training as a 3D artist taught me about physics based rendering lol

Velkan and Jon reunited! After Tariq's heroic rescue mission. Great render Raffi! Long time rendering (like my renders), but it's definitely worth the wait!
