Description

Mollis.

Her predecessor was… peculiar, so many units of TH-1 are very maladapted. The normal mages have extremely obnoxious coloration, for instance. As soon as the second generation of officers (that was a lot larger than it should have been, thanks again.) matured, the leader was violently replaced. In the resulting skirmish for power Mollis turned out to be the strongest one and quickly thinned out the extraneous officer ranks.

She has an intense hatred of bright colors and pointless fights. She doesn’t care to start fights, but she’ll happily send people to the sick ward if she catches them having fistfights with each other. No tolerance for fooling around when they’re already in such dire staits, I suppose.

Mollis was able to salvage the messenger unit to turn into the much appreciated stealth messenger. TH-1 trades these units for supplies with the other colonies as they can’t take part in combat themselves due to the colony’s extremely small size.

TH-1 is situated in caverns near the Burial Lake.  They subsist mostly on hunting and fishing, their population maximum being around 100 units in total. This means every member of the colony is important and must pull their weight to their best ability.

I do like all these alien looking designs you've been coming up with. They're all strange but in a fantastic way.

I like the way the bright whiskers (sorry that's probably not what they're called XD ) contrast the rest of the color scheme. What where the colors of the normal mages though? I'm curious as to just how obnoxious they looked.

Thank you. ;W; It's interesting how 'effortlessly' a design can rise when you have some defined traits set up -> modify.

I think they're pretty much just antennas, akin to moths.

The normal mages... Probably something extremely psychedelic, like oily iridescent, or maybe neon orange with black stripes and turquoise spots in the black. Not very good in the snowy plains. The colony probably doesn't produce any more of those until Mollis can figure out how to tone their colors down.

First of all, that is rather rude of you to say. Please think about what you want to write down next time and think about how you can phrase it.
Instead of calling things a rip-off, you could say something along the lines off "hey, did you take inspiration from this/that?" if you truly believe that something is a rip-off. This way you will avoid directly accusing (and with that probably offending) the artist.

Secondly, this character looks nothing like the character you mentioned. The only two things they have in common are the sharp teeth (though Blangonga's are far longer and whiter and it is not like these two are the only two creatures in the world with long teeth, god forbid) and the thing hanging from their faces. Though if you pay attention, you'll see that the thing hangs from Blangonga's cheeks, as opposed to the corner of the eyes in Mollis' case.

So once again: please think before you comment.

I didn't even know blagonga existed. :l

Anyway what a nice thing to say to someone, accuse them of ripping off some other design.
Aren't you a wonderful person.

I do see the similarity, mainly the tertiary mandibles referencing teeth, whiskers and the winter-coat's colors.

I was annoyed because rip-off implies an assumption the person was too lazy/uncreative and went out to grab someone else's design vs your own experience world connecting the designs. I can accept the similarity because they're both referencing mammals (sabertoothcat+bear vs mandrill) and have a white + lavender coloration as part of their design, but I don't think they're similar enough to call a rip-off due to the overall shape and purpose in the world being so different.

(also her*)

Good that you liked it regardless. :U
