Description This is an idea that's been rumbling around in my head for years. I finally feel like I have the skills to hopefully do it justice.

Oddly the woman came together really quickly, but the demon took tons of sketches, over five different redraws and a lot of work before he came together. That turned out to be a very tough pose and lighting combination.

Around 16 hours in photoshop.

Please fullview, I'd really appreciate it, thanks

Edit: Updated with the changes Ankaraven suggested. Thanks

Brilliant.
This is one of the best fantasy pics I have seen for a long time.
I like the combination of a sexy, nude and very sedusive sorceress who is summoning a powerful spirit (you say its a demon but for me it looks like a djinn)
And the wind which is caused by the summoning is just great.
Awesome work, dude. It is obvious that you put a lot of work in it.

This one is nice.
The light on the girl is a bit odd sine it should come from the front, not both front and back, but the work itself is lovely.

A good piece

Good work!
I like the concept, the whole painting is very energetic and the pose of the demon was worth the effort you put into redrawing it time and again...
The lighting of both the woman and the demon is consistent within the range of the figures themselves... I´m not sure if they fit each other though. The demon is lighted by a source that´s in the lower right corner, probably slightly behind him. If the woman was illuminated by the same lightsource her back would be in shadow I think. So either she would have to be darker or your demon turned a bit more...
You always pay a lot of attention to the ornaments the creatures/persons in your paintings are wearing and do an amazing job making them look three-dimensional. In this picture it seems a bit strange to me though, that the demon´s body is slightly blurred, something that could be explained by fast movement, mists shrouding him when being summoned, whatever, whilst the band around his arm is perfectly clear.
Last of all you might want to take a look at the woman´s anatomy again... her thighs are of different lengths and her right hand is bigger than her head.
Sorry...I know I tend to critique a lot and this sounds really negative.
I really think you did a great job on this.
If I am too niggling just tell me and I´ll shut up...

To answer your last point first; I love to hear "cool drawing", or "great work" as much as anyone; but I also very much appreciate a real critique. It shows that you really took time and paid attention to the work; and besides, the whole point (outside of hopefully being employed doing art ) is to get better, and constructive criticism makes me better. Not to mention, your critique is sprinkled with specific compliments that make me happy.

Your last two points are spot on and things I kinda feel stupid for missing, especially the too shap armbad/shackle on the demon. You're right btw that's all supposed to be atmospheric perspective between the woman and the demon.

on the lighting... well, I set myself a little problem in lighting. The demon is lit directly from below, and maybe a tiny bit to the right, like you said. The woman is lit primarily from beneath and behind from the circle she is standing on, she is supposed to also be being lit by the same light source as the demon. There is a blue-ish rim light around her edges, but your comment makes me realize that the rim light seems to have gotten kinda lost in the fire and smoke beneath the demon. I'll have to think about how to work that whole mess out

Thanks very much for your comments Ankaraven

Glad it´s ok!
Now you´ve mentioned it I´ve seen the blue rim and with it the lighting really makes sense. It really got a bit lost among all the other light...if you enhance it a little lighting should be all right.
