The Star
V344 is a blue-white B-type main sequence dwarf Gamma Cassiopeiae type variable star in the constellation of Carina. Gamma Cassiopeiae variables, also known as shell stars, are identified by their irregular variations in luminosity due to an outflow of matter - a disc of gas surrounding the star at the equator. As a B-type star, V344 is very luminous and blue.

Birthday: Actual date unknown. Celebrated on April 11th (Aries)
Age: Appears to be early 20s. They're really about 1,589-ish years old.
Height: 5'2" (157cm)
Special Abilities:
Zhen is much stronger than a human due to more compact muscular structures. They can easily lift about twice the weight an average human can.
Even outside of their transformed state, Zhen has minor metallokinesis - the ability to manipulate metal.

Likes: Fighting; training; meditating; travelling; the wilderness
Dislikes: Experiencing gender dysphoria (being constantly called 'she' when she's a man or nonbinary does get to them); losing; being interrupted; injustice; rule breaking

Personality: Li Zhen is a person who you might describe as extremely stubborn, blunt, a bit of a control freak, and kind of a loner. They are very strong and confident, and loves pressure and challenges. They help them refine their skills and develop them as a person. They have an amazing amount of focus, though some may say too much. With a very clear mind, they make decisions very easily and never seem to waver on them. Once they've decided on something, it's almost impossible to stop them. They are also an excellent strategist.

They are extremely competitive and love to win, since it keeps their confidence and pride high. While they absolutely hate losing, they will rarely ever lose their cool. Cold does seem to be their default, and they are tactful and reasonable in this state. Losing their cool leads to mistakes, and they abhor mistakes.

While they don't show much emotion, they are always ready to jump into action to defend or help another without any hesitation. They are extremely loyal to their friends (and expect this loyalty to be returned). Hurting them cuts them very deep, and they will not let go of it for a very long time. While friendly, they also tend to make enemies very easily because of their competitive nature. The one thing above all that they will not tolerate is injustice and law breaking. Ignoring any of these actions will make them feel horrible, therefore, if anyone is in trouble, expect them to show up right away to help. However, reacting too quickly and too harshly with their 'shoot first ask questions later' mentality can lead to accidents out of a misjudgment of the situation.

Other Info:
- Their alignment can pretty much be summed up as Lawful Good.
- As an older warrior, some may look up to them as a mentor. They are very willing to teach, as long as you're up for some rigorous training.
- They seem to move around a lot, but there is one place that they always return to in the north of China.

Realm of Influence: Metal

Weapon: A single jian (a Chinese sword) with the symbol for metal (金) carved into the crossguard and two white tassels attached to the pommel. This is mostly used as a tool for distraction, but they can take one tassel off and create a second sword for a brief time.

Powers: TBA

Relationships:
She and Mara/V415 [SailorAlcyone ] have a stoic, but strong relationship, with V415 seeing Zhen as a mentor.
Things are a bit complicated with V507 [NeonGlitterTrash ]. V344 destroyed V507's old body and is the reason why the starseed is now in the droid body. V507 seems to be terrified of her for this reason because of a link she still shares with the old mind. There is a possibility for things to get better in the future.

Artist's Notes
This character... This character. I don't think I've ever had as much trouble with any single character as I have with this one. I really screwed up with her initial design, and didn't realise it until I'd finished it. Thankfully, with a few quick fix ups (and a bit of help from the community [Thanks you guys! ]) I've now got a design that I'm proud of. (And I'm wondering why I didn't go with "Terracotta army" over anything else to begin with, honestly XD)

I think V344 has the most covering armour of all the V-Carinaes XD It's partially due to my need for practicality, but also because a very feminine outfit wouldn't work with this character. She's gender fluid, so she's a he or they a lot of the time. There's enough dissonance between her mind, body and what others say most of the time anyway. To be male and to have to transform into an ultra feminine outfit would make things way worse.

Her star's attributes and the information surrounding the Chinese element of metal have also lent inspiration to the character, mostly in terms of appearance and personality. If you're wondering where the idea for Bai Hu came from, he's basically the guardian animal of the metal element, the white tiger. Plus, if you know me, you'd know that I have terrible trouble building relationships with other people's characters in these groups, so I've given her a ready made one.

Her colour scheme is still subject to change, if you guys have any suggestions, feel free to say something :3
