This drawing is for my good friend on DeviantArt, the lovely and talentedI’ve been meaning to do a drawing for her for some time now!
This one started out originally as my take on her story, Rescue Mission Double Agent:

The blood elf with the blazing red hair is Raiyna D’larien, Ryzashra’s rogue. I love her character and back story, and she’s undeniably sexy!
The foreground character was supposed to be her mage, Magistrix Ryzashra Sunwing, but as I worked on the pencil sketch, I started realizing that it didn’t really look like her character. Well, in my mind, she didn’t look like the way I pictured her in my head!.
But I liked the way the sketch was going, and I also started noticing that the character was looking more and more like my own blood elf mage, Glynnee. So in the end, the drawing is a scene of the mysterious rogue interrupting Glynnee’s book reading. One can only wonder why she’s there, and what’s about to happen next!

Heh, I just did a search for dwarf rogues and there were quite a few of them on DA. There were even some female ones!

sadly,my dwarf rogue isnt female :/
it happened when after I watched prince of persia, there were a group called Hassansins, so I decided to name my dwarf after it, supposed to be an alt but I got the hang of how he terrorizes orgrimmar, like I sapper charge duelers with low health and I die with it. or rocket them or bomb them or throw my spear at em, then I became the most hated rogue in my server
I havent played with any of my characters for more than 6 months though

Ryzashra is a great story teller and writer, so it's easy to visualize the scenes in her stories. Hopefully, I managed to convey the spirit of her story, even if I ended up making one major change with my drawing...

Heh, I don't mind that it evokes that imagery. There was a lot of middle eastern style and influence in Blizzard's designs, in particular the Blood elf architecture and Dalaran. I tried to make the buildings authentic to Silvermoon, hence the inevitable influence! And the characters wouldn't look out of place in scene from Arabian Nights!

I'm glad you like it! This drawing was a real struggle to work on, and I fought tooth and nail to finish it. I'm happy with the way it turned out, but I'm still a bit sad that your mage got substituted out!
