Being Marooned isn't necessarily a bad thing, eh?
Naught especially when you happen to land on a Rum Runner's Storage Island...and happen to have had your guitar swung 'round your back and have it survive the washing ashore...

Of course his is a little bit warped since it was in the water for a bit...still sings like the first day she was made.

I had this idea when listening to Keith Richard's version of "Spanish Ladies" as he was playing Captain Teague Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
I liked the image and decided to go with it...

Listening to Bill Frisell's version of "Spanish Ladies", from the album Rogue's Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Song and Chanteys, really sets the tone for this piece.

Its hauntingly beautiful and I quite like the idea of this poor pirate playing it to himself as he waits for whatever happens to be coming next...like another bottle of rum.
