This is actually my third attempt at a tutorial, I stopped the first two...
I guess you shouldn't give up, just stick to your plan and you should be able to pull it off! I did the Lambo in about 3-5 days time only, and I'd say thats quick because normally i'm a lazy arse and I only complete one car in WEEKS.

mmm, pretty informative tutorial sir. i dont do things at all like that, but i want to give the whole line art then color thing a try sometime. i usually kinda skip that stage, but i do start out with big shapes similar to your first big outline, then i make it invisible and start drawing the other shades on top of it.

i find it weird because all the vectors i do have max 3 layers.
i liek the outline thing, im gonna give that a try on my nxt vectors, im the type of person who colours as i go

I haven't found a good tutorial that really explained what I wanted to learn, but there are some on About.com (try searching), they have good stuff up there.
