I drew this, then Inshield colored it, then I painted it from his colors.Related content

I know Lan Moiraine and Siuan, but are the others a young Thom Merrilin, Cadsuane and another Borderlander (Ingtar perhaps?) ?

White haired woman is Gitara Moroso, the Aes Sedai who prophesied the Dragon's rebirth. The woman next to Gitara is Edeyn Arrel, a Malkieri and former lover of Lan's.
The guy with the plaits is Ryne Velamar, who was Lan's best friend. The old guy is Bukama Marenellin, the last of the Malkieri who guarded and watched over Lan as he grew up.

Assuming the two center ones are Siuan and Moiraine, your depiction is incredible - one of the closest to how I imagine those two characters.

I think I recognize everyone except the middle left and top right girl.
The former I think is... the Black Ajah sister?

Actually I think it's the Amyrlin Seat because of the white dress with the stripes of every ajah on the sleeve.

i like this .. i love the rendering on the guys in the forground.. tho i am not diggin' the airbrushed hair. doesn't seem to jive with the rendering on the rest of the piece. that could be just me...
i thought Ettienne was colouring this book.. has that changed?

Well if I wuz as good as you I can critique it but I dont see anything wrong with this pic. It looks great to me!! Love the colors also. Would love to see the pencils.

That piece all told took over a week. Granted, I was busy with other stuff at the same time, but I doubt very much I would ever take that much time on a commissioned piece. Besides, it's on computer, so aside from the original pencil drawing, there would be no original art.

Wow, that is more brilliant than I can express in words! Each person has such character, my favourite is definately the rouge in the bottom left. My imagination almost tells a story about those characters just from the cover!
