Location: Photograph taken at the 2007 63rd Annual Greater Detroit Gem, Mineral, Fossil & Jewelry Show in Warren, Michigan.
Description: This collection of seashell fossils was for sale at the show for $225.00. It contains turritella, clam, and scallop shells held together with a matrix of sandstone. These shells date to the Miocene era and are between 5 to 24 million years old. This specimen was found in Touraine, France. I thought it was a pretty cool piece.

that's a lot of turritella. looks like the stuff from bordeaux, like mine.

Looks quite nice.
Though a plain blue would be better, the edge thingie in the top right ruins that.

This specimen was sitting on a dealer's table at the show. There wasn't much I could do about the background - aside from perhaps edit it out in PhotoShop. But then it wouldn't be true to what I saw.
There are always trade offs.
