This reminds me of nostalgic cartoons from the early 3D animation era, like Shadow Raiders, Beast Wars, Reboot, and such; back when you could still have fun and use your imagination to explore the possibilities of CG universes. I'd love a chance to be able to work on something like this.

Back in the days before awesome things like Maya and 3DS existed... thinking about making the first Tron still makes me cringe in pain.

I can only imagine the pain they went through back in the 80's to get that stuff done. And it took them a week to render a scene using laser printers.... and then they had to put that all together to even see the animation. Crazy people I must say.

True, true, but we had to move through that phase first before we could get to what we have today.

Indeed! Besides we are moving in anther phase of development. Besides, think of how we'll look back at this era of animation quality and development around two decades later.
