I feel bad for those poor kids turned donkeys. I always wondered what happened to them. So far as we know, Pinocchio is the only one to really get away.

Yes, there was a Disney snippet from "Make Mine Music" about a whale that wanted to sing opera, and a guy harpooned him and got away with it.
