or in gimp the gradient options give you a rainbow, and an hsv clockwise and hsv counter clockwise options.

Ah, I've never used gimp before, glad there's an easier way using it. Sounds pretty cool.
I'm a photoshop / paint tool sai user and I haven't much strayed from them as you can tell. ;D
