Now heres my first 'fast" made tutorial for a friend.It basically tells you how I did my supernova explosion in my piece "Parallel"

Thank you for the new technique. For some reason, I find sci-fi extremely engaging because it's a very technique driven style that at the same time allows great flexibility in expression due to the nature of the subject matter. I can already see how I can use this in things other than an explosion shock wave. Thank you very much.
I just started space painting a couple weeks ago Actually only just seriously started painting in general, though I've been a 3d level design artist for a couple of years now. There, aren't you glad to know more about me? lol

i can see how this can be used as an eye tut as well. great tutorial, simple and to the point, i'll keep it in mind for the future

I'm using it while i study techniques (very useful).
BTW... that "take the smallest brush you have, and make small white dots in a circle of the same size of your other circles"... couldn't this be done with the brush tool, dissolve and low opacity?

Hum, I don't think so because when you'll radial blur it, the layer setting will still be on dissolve and so the radial blur won't look the way it should be. What you can do with dissolve is to do your brush, dissolve and low opacity but you'd have to find a way to put that layer in normal so that it wont affect the radial blur.
