So this is my second Cybertron Primus and the 3rd huge custom I've done in 2 weeks.Done for a commission with the request to replicate FrenzyRumble's version but with a few differences of my own. My style is usually metallics and gloss paints so this was my first time using mostly flat paints and so much dry brushing. My painting style certainly is not as clean as FR but hopefully I accomplished what I set out to do- make a good looking Primus that is very similar to FR's.

You know? The hands, guns, shoulders, and thighs reminds me of my first Primus. It's like you did a Solrac/FR combo.

Oh, how I wish I had the money to commission one of these! That way, I'd have one I can keep on the shelf, no worries, and the regular one I can play with like it was meant to be! Same goes for Unicron!

Actually you can play with the shinier version I did before with little worries. I haven't scratched this one or anything but the feel of the matte paint seems like it would scrape more easily. They both have 2 coats of protective spray though for back up.

Well, either way, I'd still like to preserve that one as a display piece!

I wouldn't say that yours is not as clean as F_R's. The Primus you previously shown, in my opinion, is the best one out there. This one is also very good in its own right. Since the colors are flat, I think it could benefit some from layering more, starting with darker tones and building up to lighter hues - but it is still a very wonderful piece of work.
I also dig the Megatron-esque swirly pattern on the chest.

You're probably right. I just haven't had much experience with the flat paint style. In fact, none really. I've only used flat paints for base coats or some details which get sprayed with gloss clear afterward. I'll experiment with color layering more with a personal custom eventually.
