Location: The Holding - Catacombs
Prompt: “Is that the best you can do?”
Summary: Perhaps it was foolish to venture down the river’s path; the rock often falling away or only providing jagged stones barely large enough for paws to hold to avoid slipping into the current, but the female was tired of staring down the same tunnels for such a long time. Days and nights are all the same in a place that doesn’t allow light but Faustine knew it would be even darker if she managed to get swept away. Despite these conditions, it happened all too quickly; her test of defense and reflex. The teal eyed wolf had never seen a snake so fluent and as mean as this cold labyrinth itself. The cave dwellers lunged, struck and caused her to take a dip. She was startled too quickly and had to recover any advantage as soon as she could. There she perched, panting and dripping with a rat snake clutched in her clattering teeth. Not foolish enough to lose yet it seems.
