Since enough people were interested, I made a tutorial about how I paint in photoshop! I hope it's understandable >.< If you have any questions, feel free to ask!(note: if you don't have a tablet, some of this tutorial may not apply. For instance, the brush preset that I recommend would not work without a tablet)

UHM question.
In the first sketching phase, do you sketch it by hand then scan it in? Or do you have the picture open in photoshop and just sketch it straight on there? OR do you sketch directly over the photo? xD

Sometimes I sketch it on paper first, sometimes I sketch it in Photoshop. For this one I sketched it in photoshop. But I never sketch/trace over the reference picture. Plus, as you can see here, the eye in the sketch is actually a lot bigger than how it ended up in the final painting/reference picture, so if I had sketched over the reference picture that would have been the right size to begin with.

Yay! It's here! And it makes way more sense than the other one I was using. Anyway the pic that I did using your technique for the skin is Walk in the Tea Garden in my gallery. I may redo the bg using your technique though...
