Yup. Pale actually switches between clothing quite a bit, it's always been my intention. I just usually choose is standard design so he's recognizable. But now that people are more aware of him, I can change his clothes a little bit more and especially in this comic, it was necessary c:

No, his design always intended to change his clothes a lot, but of course the original style is usually present in drawings because I also wanted him to be recognizable. Pale actually collects clothes as souvenirs, so he doesn't have an own design. Instead, he uses everyone else's clothing and wears them. So yes, even the clothes featured on his ref are clothes from AU characters.

Yes those are markings
Ink and Pale are practically the same but not entirely.
-Ink has emotions by drinking his vials,where as Pale gets them by 'drinking' creativity ( I think)
-Both of them has the same markings
-Ink's uh...Ink,came from his brush,where as Pale's Ink came from his hands.
-As Ink is the protector of AUs,Pale is completely different,in order to have feelings,he 'drank' the creativity of that AU to have them,resulting to make some AUs to be blank.And since he will only have an emotion for a period of time,his 'thirst for feelings' never ends.

Yes,their markings are not the same,as Pale almost represents Destruction like Error,so they couldn't have the same markings.That's just my theory tbh,maybe it could be true.
