Description Another fantastic pic by

Hubert Barrett was always the little guy. Picked on relentlessly during his youth in Philadelphia, he lashed out at his loved ones and his community. As he grew, he swore he'd never let anyone have the upper hand over him again, often bringing him into conflict with law enforcement. He was eventually apprehended, and sent to prison. While he was there, he made contacts with people who promised him power. And taking part in experimental (and illegal) procedures by the prison staff on behalf of large Pharmaceutical firms, the untested growth hormones which he was subjected to had a mutagenic effect on his body, giving him the power to grow to massive size at will. Immediately breaking free, he adopted the identity of Titanic, and sought to make a name for himself, eventually falling in with the group of individuals known as the Crime Phalanx.

Perhaps one day Steel Wolf can show him there is a better way

LOL No, it's cool. That was more of an eye-roll groan. Got me right in the punny bone. XD

Whats intriguing here is that I expected him to be a good guy because of the colors used in his design as typically heroes get all the bright primary colors and villains the more muted "down" colors. Not that there are exceptions obviously. I also like when someone's powers are related to a driving inner desire. My whole world is based on the concept that people with powers become more of who they are or what they wanted to be.

Yeah, I very much wanted to explore what happens when the little guy who had grief forced on him his whole life makes it big, for lack of a better term. Does he rise above it and try to improve himself? Or does he give in to his inner demons and let his pent-up hostility and resentment make him lash out at the world. And obviously, Titanic here chose the latter.

Ive got a similar guy in my roster (who I havent revealed yet), slightly built nerdy guy who gets bullied by the jocks and the bad boys who always wished he was strong and they were weak so he could show them what its like. So of course his power becomes one of strength stealing. I call him the Blue Baller because the kids teased him for being to nerdy to get laid but now he wears the name like a badge of honor and a thing to be feared because he loves to publically emasculate heroes by making them look weak and pathetic.

Here's preview art of him in his fearsome suit (which hides his rather pathetic frame, yeah even with all that power he's still insecure).

Thanks! I'll have his profile written up in a few days. He's one of the many ideas I came up with while playing Champions Online.
