*BTW, does anyone think I should actually add Yue to the picture? Personally I prefer a less obvious approach, but I'll consider changing it if enough people think it would work better...

Maybe you could add Yue's head in front of the moon (with very little oppacity, like 20% or something, if you know what I mean xD) looking at Sokka with a smile..
But it's also good the way it is now ^^

I think it's a lot more sentimental this way. He can see the moon, and "feel" her light, but he can't see the true form of Yue. I think it's perfect as it's now

As for the piece itself? Very nice ^^ I personally would have put less regularity in the stars, and faded them out around the moon a bit more, and I'd have put a little less interpositioning between the moon and that cloud. Otherwise, it checks all my boxes here

The subtle approach is much sweeter. If you added in Yue, you'd have to fil up some of the sky, and the space makes the whole thing work with the monologue better.
It's adorable. I love the chilly atmosphere and how the sky touches the water. Sokka's legs are a bit too stiff, but 'sides that he looks amazing. Well done.
