Description
This will go into Scraps eventually, but in order to maximize viewership I will be featuring it for a time. Also please remember these are not meant to be stellar representations of these characters, its all a big work in progress. Here we are with the first big scrapdump for DH. Well, maybe not big, there are only three specific monsters covered, after all. These guys appear in Part 2, which takes place in the not too distant future. There will be some major changes this time around to the schizophrenic plot it had the first time, and lots of new faces. Such as these guys. I will be giving some descriptions of these characters below and hope to receive some feedback on how I might better the concepts when the entries come around.
Left: Anybody remember Razincane? Thought not. He was a big bipedal Cane Toad that appears once in Australia and disappeared after that. Well, this guy is something of a spiritual successor to that guy. Mehagero, a Cane Toad that I plan to appear in Hawaii this time fighting a familiar face. His powers are shifting between his tadpole and adult forms (size not to scale) and heated venom shots. He's a lava frog, essentially, that was inspired by, of all things, the rather quirky PSP game Invizimals. Any thoughts on the guy would be appreciated.
Center: The Gulandius are perhaps the weirdest concepts I've charted out in a long time. This time around, the story begins in Africa instead of the Amazon, and these guys are one of the big bads of the badlands. As weird as this might sound, this was my creative process, word for word, 'Huh, you know what would be scary? Naked Mole Rats mixed with Driver Ants!' and thus these guys came together. Like Dementios, these beasties can breed asexually and possess a caste system, something both source animals demonstrate to an extent. The soldiers and workers shown below the rather small image of a queen are typically smaller than most kaiju to appear, but they are dangerous in numbers. I'm trying to figure out more specialized castes for these guys, that and I feel the design is a bit bland and needs some further tweaking. Any help would be appreciated.
Khalmec: (possibly Khelmec) is a simple idea that I'm really not sure how far I want to go with. He's a bipedal Chameleon and one of Ragido's first opponents in part 2. He's kind of a Gabara, in a way, in that he is a royal ass that picks on the small but can still throw with the big boys when he needs to. He shoots eye lasers and can change his color. His tongue also has barbs akin to a jellyfishes that can really tear opponents a new one.
Well, here's a few of my up and coming ideas. Any thoughts, critiques?

Okay, these guys have just blown me away. I liked Razincane, he might have been an ass, but still a fun character and I'm sad to see that not much was done with him. But this guy? Win. I really hope he takes those froggy legs and hops far and wide in your verse. Also good to see him be a two-stager, way to break the mold.
Geeez...I really have no words for the Gulands, they are just freaky as hell.
Khalmec is win. Though i mistook it for female at first, being slim and humanoid he has those kinda curves, I like his over all design and idea. I've also been working on a chameleon kaiju of my own, and he has reminded me to get my ass in gear and get it started.

In many ways this guy is Razincane 2.0, he has the same attitude only is a little more grounded in physical combat.
And freaky is definitely a good sign with the Gulands, I like them as a concept, its just I have trouble figuring out how to mix the ant and mole rat traits, I will probably make them more armored in the future.
And glad to hear it on Khalmec, and I hope we can see your chameleon soon, I've still got a ways to go on this guy before he appears.

I do remember that you asked for some thoughts on these guys. I might suggest doing something with his shoulder-pods. As they are they restrict the arm to tyrannosaur levels. You might want to either move it to the back or shrink it a bit to give the shoulders some more room to move.
lol No arguement here, though I'm not sure how extra armor would look.
You will see her sometime. Possibly between Magmarra and Typhon. But first i need to get a certain beetle out of the way.

All noted, thanks for that.
It will probably take a few tries to get them looking like how I picture them in my head. Its a surprisingly fine line between the two.

Happy to help in any way.
I know what you mean. What you have is always just six degrees off of what you see as perfection.
