One more from Orivesi, July 2011. I'm quite happy with this one. It was one of those paintings in which you get out of your comfort zone, and feel like you've managed to paint with a different technique than previously. Also, I think there's something slightly medieval in the composition, which always (well, almost always) counts as a plus in my book. I had in mind the 16th century coniunctio spiritualis image which is on the cover of Leonard Cohen's New Skin for the Old Ceremony album.[link]

The near vertical cloth line on the left, which some people said they don't like, is totally intentional.
