While originally when I first drew Valorice's design concept he was basically made to be drawn without clothing as his design had a more... "animalisitc" body type, as his design became more refined into having a much more humanoid look while still staying true to his original design, I figured adding clothing to the character would be both a nice addition and more proper touch up to the character in terms of decency. As a means of keeping the original trait he has though, I added the concept of a "light screen" as a trait in which Transcenders use as a means of partial natural coverage to his culture.

In Transcenders Culture, the Light screen is a function where Transcenders generate a sort of natural looking and feeling garment over the parts of they're body they intend to cover which fully blends in with they're own fur and flesh. In the earliest times of they're culture they pretty much used Light screens alone without the need for additional covering, however, as the race became more civilized and industrialized, they saw in more fitting to re-adopt the use of proper clothing to maintain decency among they're kind and others. While to this day Transcenders still use Light screens almost all the time, in public or highly populated areas, Trasncenders are required to at least wear garments that cover the lower torso area for males, and for females from the neck down to the Lower torso depending on the thickness of they're fur growths, thickest being permitted to use lighter or less clothing so long as proper coverage is kept, or in the case of hairless Trancenders having to use full coverage all the time with the use of light screening being inexcusable even in lesser populated regions out side the comfort of they're own home.

In Valorice's case, Clothing was something he always used even with his light screen applied at all times, however, during the events of the Aetherian games, it was something he found himself using less for a period of time as any clothing, armor, or item's he'd collected where always destroyed upon the reset of each game which, over time got him used to the concept of using his light screen only more frequently. When the Aetherian games had come to a close however and he found himself being reintroduced to society again, he readopted the trait of using clothing in public again for the sake of decency towards others.
