Artists notes: While personally, I’d much preferred to release this “after” the completion of the fourth and final form design for Rice, being I had this sitting in my folders for over a year and a half now, I figured at the very least, I could reveil this to the public for now (as I’d really been wanting to show off what a Trancsen’s “Transcendence” ability looks like) and update it with the fourth and final design later! SO with out further or do, HERE ya have it!

The following information listed is in regards to the character “Valorice” himself. For more detailed information on the character, please refer to his original reference found here; www.deviantart.com/valorrally/…

-Alpha: Valorice’s original form as commonly seen in most illustrations. Prior to his acquiring (or curse) of the element of Aether, Valorice’s eyes where once sported hazelnut brown eyes, with a “grey” tinted Soul insignia, and natural flesh colored ears and insides. While much stronger in physical strength compared to humans and most creatures, up against his own kind, Valorice, bore little to no advantages over any of his own kind, with only barely reaching the average strength level of most Transcens of his age and class. His greatest disadvantage was him lacking the ability to utilize any element at the time making him an easy target to defeat by any seasoned elemental user, even in Alpha state.

-Juvenile: Valorice’s first Transcendence form, awakened after having received the power of the divine light after the acceptance of Christ as his Lord and savior. While now fully able to reap the benefits of elemental utilization, as well as receiving his first “arcane armament” being a back hand duel edged sword named, “Righteous fury”, this form’s amplifications focused more directly on both Speed and strength, making him a light footed force of nature with quick reflexes, and brutal punches to spare. Yet in spite of Rice’s great speed and strength in this form, he still lacks greatly in both defense, and stamina, often causing him to tire out quickly in battle, as well as suffer great to moderate vulnerability when taking heavy blows. While in this state, Valorice develops a much more troubled, uncertain, and at times “aggressive” personality due to the heavy neural load the juvenile form takes on him when first entering due to not being fully seasoned in controlling his power. Overtime, and with practice, Valorice gradually comes to both master and tame this form, and its instabilities allowing him to hold it for much longer durations, even indefinitely as time passes.

-Paladin: Valorice’s second transcendence form, unique in both abilities, as well as appearance, focusing once more on great speed and agility, but this time, even greater defense, surpassing even that of his strength as well. Paladin forms by default are unique to each Trasncender individually, unlike they’re alpha, Juvenile, and even Sentinel forms, A Transcenders Paladin form assumes its appearance based on the Transcenders heart, Personality, and state of mind upon first achieving this form- which in most cases can resemble that of both known, unknown, and even uncommon mythical creatures, or beings from foreign worlds. For Valorice, because of his boldness and strong desire to protect those he loves and cares for, his form assumed that of a Seven tailed “Llama Fox”, from which according to myths from his culture was a massive multi-tailed fox with a long neck and thick mane, well known for being a gentile, yet powerful creature with great loyalty to its pack members, and in rare cases, if domesticated, its masters. While in this form, Valorice assumed a very wise, caring, yet laid back nature, almost always full of life and energy. His arcane weapon also under goes a change as well, taking the form of a long double edge katana called; “The Soul Striker” and twin massive gear shaped cuffs over his wrists called “Chains of Honor”. Among the many unique traits of the Paladin form, one of the most utilized by Transcenders is its ability to blend in with other races or cultures, allowing them swap between three, “reduced power” forms consisting of an anthro/humanoid (in Rice’s case, his humanoid form being a single tailed arctic fox) , Feral (Rice’s being a llama fox) , and even human form ( standard human with the same hair style, eye color, and physic of his anthro form).
