Since I hadn't done one of this tutorial for 2 years (yeah WOW O-o!) I've recently decided to submit this one that contains deeper information about color theory (like the first one).THE GREAT THING about this is that I added some color exercises at the end for you to play with. This will be usefull to understand how some colors work in the context of an image and how others won't work at all. I hope you'll forgive me if I've made some mistakes in the translation from spanish to english. As always, thanks for reading!

Perdón por tardar tantiiiisimo en contestar. En primer lugar muchas gracias por los halagos, me agrada que el tutorial te haya resultado útil.
Respondiendo a tu pregunta. No debes preocuparte mucho por la profundidad de color si lo que estás haciendo es ilustración, yo siempre uso el espacio de 8 bits.
Te cuento: en 8 bits hay millones y millones de colores, más de los que tu ojo puede diferenciar probablemente y justo los que se pueden mostrar en una pantalla. ¿Para que están los espacios de más bits entonces? Bueno, en ilustración de poco valen, hay veces que si trabajas en espacios de 16 bits y eres una persona que hace muchos ajustes puedes evitar problemas de posterizado (cuando aclaras una imagen y ves que hay lineas marcadas en vez de degradados entre dos colores próximos), pero también es tan facil como pasarle un brochazo por el medio si no te gusta esa transición... es cuestión de gustos! Por otro lado para los fotógrafos y los artistas de 3d es mucho más importante porque esa información extra les permite que su flujo de trabajo sea mucho más adaptable y les ofrece una resolución mucho mayor. Por ejemplo las imagenes de 32 bits tienen tanta información que permiten mostrar algo así como el color real de una escena podiendo usarse esas mismas como iluminación reflectante. Los mapas de 16 bits se utilizan por ejemplo para mapas de desplazamiento ya que con 8 bits se producen escalonados indeseados y permiten ahorrar un poco de memoria respecto a los de 32 bits.

I'm not sure I understand the way you are using the word "chant" when saying to make the dragon or mountain "chant" with the rest of the image. Can you tell me a similar word that means the same thing?
