Yeah, drawing hair is a world of its own, and you step into another dimension with braids. There is a geometry to them that has to come through...

i gotta say, mixing your techniques is a great way to expand your horizons and certainly it shows in this work. the crisp clean lines adorned with the soft variations of shades and tones definately focuses a much greater realism to the broader image.
