How to save pixel art
In this tutorial I will show you how to save pixel art. Saving is definitely one of the most important things and I have seen how someone messes up his work by just saving to wrong format a lot. So, I hope this tutorial will help you all.

now that is actually a surprise... doesn't that depend on the settings you use? my .gif's always look alright, like .png...
not that i do alot of pixeling anyway

I save all with paint, thats why theres a huge difference. If you save with photoshop then its all almost the same, but as my tutorials are for paint then I have to save in paint as well.

As long as you use only black and white I guess. Maybe it will be different with .jpeg.

Nope if you use it pixel by pixel then it still does it because the reason why this happens is that jpeg wants to make smooth transitions like with gradient in photoshop. But if you use pixel style and you use two totally different colors then jpeg still wants to fix it. Lets say that you use yellow and blue. Now you save it to .jpeg and it tries to make a smooth transition from yellow to blue. So its possible that you will have green colors there. If you know what I mean.
.jpeg is good for photos and that the only thing you should use it for. If theres something to do with web I would suggest to save it to .png.

ah, ok. i know what you mean.
i meant the difference between paint and ps in working, not saving that's were i probably was misunderstood
