Description A piece created for Issue 17 of Digital Artist Magazine, coming to a Borders/Barnes & Noble near you sometime next month!

I finished this a couple days after FC2011 when I was sick and sicker, so I am sad that it's a bit more rushed and wobbly than I would like, but BOY! Did I have a blast with this assignment! The article is about painting in monochrome, specifically, Cobalt Blue. The CD included with this month's magazine has the full size line art for this painting.

I use Artrage 3.5 Studio Pro, its not as well known yet, but its getting there, and you get the same quality but better then Painter for $80 you can, Try out the full feature set of ArtRage Studio Pro 3.5 for 30 days with this free Demo version. here [link] and take a look at the best person on deviantart is [link] nickillus he just paints with artrage all the time his work is out of the world eg. his gallery [link] hope this has helped you and others, about Artrage, and get the name out there, oh and get painting and share the love.

I have used ArtRage since it first came out, and I have never found it to do what I love to do in Painter. I don't know why you are coming to my page and spouting how one tool is better than the other. Photoshop is not better than Painter is not better than ArtRage anymore than oils are better than acrylics are better than watercolours. They are all different and it's up to the artist to make the best use of their medium of choice.
