The second image I did for the portfolio reviews at the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con, primarily intended for Wizards of the Coast. This is the one of the three that the WotC representative liked the most. He felt that it would read very well as a card image.

Slivers are my second favorite type of creature in Magic: The Gathering (right behind Squirrels!) and Crystalline Sliver is one of my favorites. Being a sliver made of my two favorites color and granting all slivers the insanely powerful Shroud mechanic, its very much in line with my play style. So I put my own spin on the creature as an act of love.
