Keep my secret,
of blood and of life,

for my path is riddled,

and I have known my fair bit of strife.

Of essence I have spilt,

of wrong I have ensured,

perhaps my choices are not the best,

for the grief I have allured.

A hole is still a void,

loss takes the form of pain,

but this is something we all must endure,

from the ashes one might gain.

And so I make my plea,

with a fervent degree,

please, please keep my secret,

and let me show you what I can be.

Inconsistent rhyming wew!

Oh, this was super fun to paint and oddly relaxing! It's been awhile since I've done something like this. In addition, the entire painting (minus the mask details for the hand and streaks) was all done on one layer. It was a very, very good time.

Anyways, Airi purchased a new tailored Kevlar mask in our Shadowrun game. It's got a lot of potential to be modified/improved to which I will excitedly work on next down time. Every little bit helps.

It's horrible to say that a good friend of hers, Mr. Tanaka, recently died. Airi actually learned about his gruesome demise the night after purchasing this particular mask. She's really not in that great of shape right now (he saved her from dying or worse back in Japan), so the red tear stains and hushed gesture of the mask seems to speak a bit more, now. On top of that she adamantly defends her secrecy of being a Shapeshifter (hiding that tail isn't easy, I tell you!). Mmmm and now that I think about it she's not fond of people knowing she's a mage as well.

Bottling all this up is really killing her... and she has next to no one to talk to about it. There was one lovely (edgey) session I had with another member to talk about everything but it still doesn't feel like enough. Man, I really haven't had this much fun with a character in a long, long time.

Ah, and I totally attempted to do the eye reflection thing that animals at night with a light shined on them do. Cuz.. y'know.. she's a fox shapeshifter. That seems neat.
