Description This is an old version. For a fully updated version of this skin check out VClouds Weather 2 and my new Glasses theme.
My first Rainmeter skin - a detailed vertical weather skin.
it includes 3 sets with 8 skins each, that shows weather conditions - from current weather to a full 9 day forecast from weather.com.

To change the weather to your city location right click the skin, click edit skin, scroll down to Location and read the instructions.

* The Today/Tonight line is taken from Shivaism's Large Clean Weather skin. shivaism.deviantart.com/art/La…

- Make sure to read the instructions
- Also check this video that I found for easy installation instructions www.youtube.com/watch?v=SE_JZP…

Updates:
13.12.2011 - Temporary fix for the weather.com update issues. everything should work except for the last forecast day in the 9 days variant.

3.11.2013 - Fixed Tonight forecast not showing thanks to josey-wells .

20.1.2014 - Fixed Tonight forecast not showing up again. thanks to josey-wells .

No problem my friend. I'm glad you like it.
I don't know the answer to this. it might be language or region related but since I cant reproduce it on my computer, its very hard to solve it.

hey, i have a questions. for default, the location of the weather is United kingdom , everything seem to be fine and working well , but after i change it to my location which is MYXX004 ( johor bahru malaysia) the temperature measurement gone wrong.. it's showing 22?2 instead of 22 degree Celsius.for your information, i already change the unit to M which is metric .

thanks in advance

I have checked your weather code and it displays fine for me.
that's strange, your the second user from Malaysia that is having this problem. I don't know what is causing this, maybe something in weather.com itself.

does this happen in other weather.com based skins such as this: [link] ?

yes it is also happen to the vision+weather by the sarge
i was wondering if the system locale have something to do with it
for your information my system locale format is set to English United States ,
set to malaysia for the location and the language for the non unicode programs is set to english us.

if i change back the weather code for UK(as in default) everything seem to work fine.

thanks for the quick reply
you skin look really awesome and i cant wait to get this work out

thanks in advance and keep up the good work mate

i did . my rainmeter is actually installed with chinese (PRC) as my default locale . but after i change it back to the english US locale, it still shown the same for my place. and again i change the code back to UK. everything was fine.. weird..
it might be got something to do with the regexp.. but i dont have any knowledge of it..oh well~

thanks for the quick reply mate
hope we can solve this out to make it a perfect skin love by thousands

uhm .. i plan on releasing some rainmeter weather skins to accompany my "Stikma" CAD skin [link] and i have used your ini code as a basis. so, now i'd like to ask for your permission to use this highly altered code and release it with those weather skins.

i'm looking forward to hear from you soon.

hi i got some prob after install the vcloud... and its very nice indeed but i can have the degree celcius display correctly... its shows (32"?) instead of (oC).. can u please help me on that???? thanks

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VClouds In reply to Keatky [2010-06-14 12:17:38 +0000 UTC]

I'm not sure what is causing that...
did you install the font? what version of rainmeter are you using?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Keatky In reply to VClouds [2010-06-14 13:29:54 +0000 UTC]

rainmeter v1.2 rev438 and font installed

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VClouds In reply to Keatky [2010-06-14 13:53:28 +0000 UTC]

So the problem your having is that instead of the "C" after the degree number in the current weather it displays this "?" ?
did you modified anything in the skin? changed the weather code? does it happen in all the skin variations?

It looks great, but can I download older version for rainmeter 1,1 from somewhere??

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VClouds In reply to nulinka [2010-06-13 16:21:51 +0000 UTC]

You can just rename the rmskin extension to zip and open it in winzip or winrar.
now go to the Skins folder and extract the VClouds Weather folder to your My Documents\Rainmeter\Skins folder.
oh and don't forget to install the font.

nulinka In reply to VClouds [2010-06-14 00:52:03 +0000 UTC]

I absolutely love this weather skin
One question: UpdateRate=1800. What exactly does 1800 translate to? I want to tinker with this rate to make it more frequent. So, what measurement are you using? Thanks.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VClouds In reply to Weredawg [2010-06-13 00:29:50 +0000 UTC]

Hey, glad you like it.

before making changes to the update rates please consider the following:
the reason for these update times is so that weather.com will not shut the rainmeter feed down because of high update rates that will cripple their servers (that's what happened to the accuweather.com feed).
also read this:[link]

to my knowledge weather.com updates the feed once an hour anyway.

for current weather and today's weather UpdateRate=1800 that equals to 30 minuets. (1800/60=30)
for the forecast UpdateRate=12600 that equals to 210 minuets. (12600/60=210)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VClouds In reply to xMrBean [2010-06-10 15:08:46 +0000 UTC]

Do you have the latest version of rainmeter? if you do, when you installed the latest version of my skin, did you chose to install the font in the installation screen?

BTW, you can open the VClouds Weather.rmskin with winzip and extract the font manually to your Windows\Fonts folder.

xMrBean In reply to VClouds [2010-06-10 15:49:00 +0000 UTC]

okays, thanks ^^ i found it in winrar.

You were right. I forgot to add administrator rights in the rainstaller config. now the font should install with the skin.

So you know that i mod your skin, cause i like the way you built-it, but is there a way to ad the precipitation % on the today'tonight , tommorow and on the other day ????

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VClouds In reply to frankm77 [2010-06-03 18:19:01 +0000 UTC]

What you need to do is add a Measure and a Meter for both the today and the tonight sections. search for the parse number of precipitation for the measure (for today its 15). and align it in the meter.

hope this makes sense. if you need help let me know...
