Description I finally finished this beast! 90 percent vector with some final work done in Photoshop. It's a big piece I did for my dad and its hard to see a lot of the detail but you get the idea.

I'm still not entirely happy with the back but sometimes you just have to let it go.

Please don't use this art for your own nefarious purposes. Make your own!

Is there any way to get this WITHOUT the Deviant Art watermark, so that I can print it and frame it myself? That would be awesome.

I usually charge $500-$600 per side on a currency design this complicated.

Fantastic work!

Thnaks for the nice comments. No templates, just a lot of work in Adobe Illustrator. It's all hand drawn vectors with some custom brushes and blends I made myself.

Wow.
That is impressive even to people who can't appreciate all of the details and guillochΓ© work.

The Corel patterning alone is boggling to me.

What process did you use to create the clouded/fuzzy looking background?
Rendered clouds + ?

Great work.

Thanks you so much for the nice comments. It means a lot coming from a fellow vector artist. Love your stuff!

Yeah for the background of the Halliburton Dubai building I rendered some clouds, adjusted the perspective and then played around with a pattern overlay I made in Illustrator. I had an engraving plugin for Photoshop but it never gave me the effect I wanted. The Corel plugin for the guilloche patterns worked great. The hard part was masking it out to fit the design of the bill. It makes for a huge Illustrator file size because I had the guillochete pattern combined with a large paper swatch so you wouldn't see any tiling. I think my file size went over 100mb and crashed a couple times. I really learned a lot from this piece especially the practice of making multiple backup copies...LOL.
