So - full disclosure: I have never played "Animal Crossing".

...but considering the kind of cartoon I feel like Animal Crossing would likely get made into I actually don't think that's too much of a hurdle to pitch a pilot.

It's not that super-complicated (or original...) of a concept: wacky town, wacky characters, and a straight-man (or in this case, straight-dog) who has to deal with all of it.

Isabelle (or "Izzy", as I think she'll be commonly called here) will be the main character, and in this interpretation she'll be newly arriving in New Leaf after having been invited to the town by her twin brother, Dibgy (not pictured). She'll end up getting a job as secretary to the Mayor and hijinks ensue from there.

Like you'd think, each episode is mostly her dealing with the madness of the town's eccentric and colorful denizens while also wrangling her equally insane boss, the Mayor: An enigmatic, absent-minded, but generally well-meaning "individual"; his species will remain unknown and unrevealed throughout the series, he also doesn't talk...at least not directly.

Instead, he communicates through his two hand-puppets (which look the the male and female village characters from the game) who identify themselves as being the town's actual leaders, "Mister and Miss Mayor".
