...needs a better name - severely.So my comic would feature two of my favorite things - superheroes and time-travel - which would result in Becky meeting her teenage self (still going by 'WordGirl') AND her future team, consisting of Jolt (reformed and mostly sane Maria the Energy Monster) and Debutante (reformed Eileen the Birthday Girl)

Quick rundown:
WordGirl: Needs no introduction. Still has mach speed, super strength and a high vocabulary, but has also developed Cryptopathy (the ability to communicate in and understand every existing language and code)
Debutante: Mastery of her powers allows her to posses her giant strength even at her regular size (she turns a little green when she does it, though)
Jolt: Light speed travel, energy blasts and electromagnetism, can also (temporarily) absorb information from computers and 'jump' into machines to control them (the latter can only be done for a short while since she has to leap out of her 'body' to do it; prolonged separation causes her sanity to slip and her rabid energy-thirst to resurface).

I really need to start practicing doing backgrounds and environment; I've been dodging it like the plague but its quickly been catching up to me and the disparity is becoming more and more apparent.
...seriously though if someone could help me come up with a name for this team I'd really appreciate it.

Also, been meaning to tell you, but amongst other names, Team Wordgirl isn't that bad. I mean, sure, a little work could help, but it really isn't that bad.

I will admit to rather liking the idea of reforming most of WordGirl's canon enemies, through various means, and then bringing in either new villains who are truly villainous rather than mostly misguided or having Miss Power show up again. Or both; both is good.
As for a team name, maybe the Archivists? Doesn't make a ton of sense but superhero names don't always have to.

I would prefer if Energy Monster and Birthday Girl kept their original names instead of adopting the names Jolt and Debutante. Still, this is pretty cool.

No this is not the team.
Becky Botsfort (AKA Word Girl) already recruited not 1 not 2 not 3 but now 4 people since they found out her true identity.
They are her adopted grandfather Bambi Botsfort this one still super villain who uses giant robots and has a crush on her Tobey then there's Kid Math (Yo I forgot his true identity what is it again?) and now there is a 4th and that is Scoops.

Interesting. So a team-up with the Energy Monster and Eileen? When would they go good? Still, I like your design of teenage Wordgirl. Please draw her more often.
In my opinion, if there WAS a team Wordgirl, shouldn't Tobey be involved?
By the way, a suggestion for a better name than Team Wordgirl: The Insiders (a spoof of a comic-book group called the Outsiders, which currently features a trio of characters: Jason Todd, aka Red Hood, Starfire and Arsenal).

As for Eileen and Maria turning good: Most of WordGirl's enemies are more shortsighted, greedy or narcissistic than outright diabolically evil; I see eventual reformation for a lot of them (a big softy like the Butcher is gonna have a hard time saying 'no' to ending word hunger, for instance).

Try giving your team name after a musician you admire who is either living or dead, a movie character you admire or a person dead or alive that you admire. For example my Word Girl team is named Word Girl and The Raiders since I am a fan of the late musician Paul Revere who was the founder of the group Paul Revere And The Raiders. Word Girl teams up with her cousins Donna and Debi Isthmus (Donna is named after the late singer Donna Summer and Debi is named after former figure skater Debi Thomas. Isthmus is because I am a native of Panama which is located in Central America and I remember the late former President of the United States Teddy Roosevelt saying "I took the Isthmus". Raiders is also the nickname of my high school Archbishop Joesph F Rummel which is nicknamed Raiders.

The original name of Word Girl cousins was The Isthmus Kids then I changed to the Isthmus Sisters since they are twins. The idea that they are her cousins come from Superman having a cousin called Supergirl who are from Krypton. The Word Girl team used to be called The Lexicon Dream Team. Just find a name for your super hero group but try to not use a name of a super group that is on television or movies because you get a cease and desist letter for illegal use of names like The Avengers or Justice League.
