Description Like most Deviants I follow a lot of folks on the site and several have their own comics that I like to read. Before I started my own I used to wonder why when a Deviant had such a project - that so many vistitors were interested and invested in - that they could go so long without updating it.

Don't get me wrong: I already knew and understood that sometimes things just happen or you get busy/tired or whatever; it was only when they would continue to upload other things that it would occasionally irk me, like "If you DO have time to draw then why not draw the comic I like so much?"

Now that I'm the one drawing the comics I think I finally get it, or at least a possible reason for it: you - will - get - SICK of a comic if you can't take a gosh-darned BREAK.

It is so weird: It's not that I "hate" Twisted Space (or D.W.) - not at all; the complete opposite, really...but at the same time it's sort of like your eating your favorite food: having it now and again or even on a regular basis (like you treat yourself with it every week/month, or something) is fine, but if it were your ONLY meal for breakfast/lunch/dinner every day it'd drive you INSANE.

So now, as much as I'd still like to see the next pages in the stories of my favorite Deviants as soon a possible, I'm willing to be a lot more patient.

...on a completely unrelated note: Thank YOU for your patience.

Slider, I'm not the author but I have a feeling you have NO idea how right you are. On another note, coming back to an update of this after a Thanksgiving break without Internet was awesome; I had a great time with my family (apparently knowing about the Power Pack while in the company of much younger cousins equals "She knows everything!"; SO CUTE!) but it's going to take a while before I'm caught up on my Internet stuff.

Why does Slider seem to be coming off as somewhat of an 'Edgelord'?

On the show Slider's mother (or any other relatives besides his Dad) are never mentioned, nor was it ever stated exactly how long he spent by himself from when his father disappeared to when he first meets the Cybersquad, neither is any sort of "caretaker" who looks after or checks up on him ever even alluded to. You don't even see very many people - adult or child - around his garage where he lives, nor is he seen interacting with them very much at all in general.

For all intents and purposes he just seems to be a minor child who's been pretty much raising himself for what may be a considerable span of time (in the last picture he had with his father Slider looks significantly younger) during what would likely be critical, formative years for his personality and mental health development.

So yeah, he's probably gonna have a little bit of an edge.Β

But don't worry; I'm well aware that snark can grow tiresome. He'll develop as the story progresses; Β he's spending more time in close association with people now than he's likely had in some time (he joined a bunch of other side characters for an episode but that was just a one-off; it didn't seem like he associates with any of them regularly), so he's going to have to grow out of his old ways and really learn to become a part of a team.

Interesting.

Still, the fact that Delete almost referred to Hacker as "The Boss," I have a feeling he'll go into a relapse.

Or that could just be force of habit; Delete may have no reason to go back to Hacker (this time anyway) but it's still going to take a long time to escape the effects working for Hacker had on him. Remember that Digit probably went through a similar process but had completed it by the time we see him.

If it were a series I doubt it'd be "mini"
