Inez be like "Say WHAAAAAA?" The plot thickens!
So yeah: Buzz and Delete + Hack and Slash (nostalgia cred if you remember them) = Rip and Burn. A couple of people last page were talking about how they're smarter than the average goons, and you'd be right to an extent - I definitely wanted them to be guys you couldn't quite let your guard down around - but don't worry, they've got PLENTY of humorously exploitable personality quirks yet to be seen.

Part of me wishes Matt and Inez had traded troubles (whatever the rare white-male-main-character-in-a-PBS-show has stumbled into) because he's a slightly better actor (I think; I seem to remember times when he had to cover for Inez) and she just might have blown her cover because this is a step beyond "Impostor forgot certain details" because Inez doesn't even know she IS one.
Of course the rest of me has a feeling Inez will scrape her way out of it.

Rip and Burn have a very...unique thought process (that'll be more fully explained later) - so even though Inez isn't fooling US, since Rip scanned her and got a voice/retina match she IS 'the boss' as far as he's concerned.
Interesting that you should mention Matt, though - I'm surprised no one's asked where he ended up, yet

So it's sort of like the theory that costumes of characters like Team Rocket of Pokemon fame are more convincing in universe except for the fact that there's an explanation that can satisfy the fans?
And I guessed earlier that given the scale up we've seen so far (Jackie is banged up and alone but otherwise fine; Inez ends up watching a torture session), he'll have ended up smack dab in the middle of Inter!Control Central and may or may not have ended up captured...which would mean the girls would have to rescue him. Seriously; why is it always Matt who ends up kidnapped/held hostage/etc. and has to be rescued in fanworks?

There's a small number of them on fanfiction.net (most unfortunately abandoned, including one that's part of a series that ends with Inez returning home after being missing and presumed dead for a year [a year Matt spent thoroughly depressed], a war about to break out in Cyberspace [Hacker's not involved; he committed suicide in front of Inez shortly before she went missing; it involved a portal into another dimension that was toxic to Cybercitizens] and the very real risk of everyone in the real world finding out about Cyberspace [which, due to a visit to a parallel time-line, they know would be a very bad thing]; there's also another one that features Hacker holding Matt hostage, threatening him with a laser in the first chapter, threatening to kill him if he isn't given control of Cyberspace by sunset, planning on doing the killing sooner anyway and being almost directly responsible for Matt becoming deathly ill...and that's where it ends.) and there's a group your comic has become part of on this site.

I think the unfinished one with the hostage situation may have gotten deleted and the author of the other one has abandoned all projects but check out fanfiction.net. There's some...really weird stuff.

No kidding; the latter actually had a reviewer who wanted Hacker to BEHEAD Matt with said laser. In the first chapter no less. Like, was gleefully cheering Hacker on.

This universe has been confirmed to be what is commonly called a "Player 2" universe in role play; essentially the backstory is much darker (as has been plainly demonstrated) and many characters have the opposite alignment (Inez's counterpart is a villain while Hacker's is a hero) but that doesn't mean all heroes are villains and all villains are heroes or that everyone has a total personality makeover. Who is what is up to the person designing the verse and/or characters.
