Description
A scene of which takes place much later in the "Integration" storyline... Duncan is the host of a nasty demon but thankfully, Jack (aka Candlejack) has the skills to take care of it. Kinda creepy when his eyes bleed black like that, eh?The downside to accepting such nasty critters into yourself to nom on your soul has some unfortunate consequences... Such things do not come clean without a price.
The demon's marking imprinted as a wicked tattoo on Duncan's back fav.me/d1nexte proceeds to burn off. So yeah, burning alive is not exactly what Duncan had in mind when he agreed to Jack's help... not that he had much of choice. Accept help or die.
Freakazoid is naturally worried about his sibling and rather alarmed at the violence of the occurrence.

This is truly an incredible scene, let alone image to me. the expressions are really to die for and i love things like this. I LOVE what you've done with the characters. It's truly SO much fun to watch how you can play with character's designs and make them come even more alive. I love your art and would love to study under your "Style" so to speak. you are so talented and I am such a HUGE fan. :3 PLEASE keep up the AMAZING work.

Even all these years later, I still really like how Jack and Duncan came out in this piece. The only person I'd like to redraw is Freakazoid.. But really, I'd like to clean this whole pic up just to make it 'pop', ya know?

Poor Duncan...hope everything turns out alright for him in the end. How come he's allows himself to be possed by a demon?

because he's human and humans often make stupid mistakes- In all honesty, he made some really bad choices and it was more of him being "deceived" rather than fully accepting a demon into himself. Deception is fickle, therefore, it can easily be misconstrued as a useful tool of manipulation. Also, it's important to note that Duncan has a short fuze and he tends to hold a grudge. He felt betrayed and hurt. Thus, vengeance became his goal. Ducan became a viable and unwitting host to a very, NASTY, sort of creature that was drawn to Duncan for... very intriguing reasons aside from the need to obtain and body to stabilize its place in the mortal realm. I wish I could tell you more but I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise.

Is this after Duncan has figured out that Dexter and Freakazoid are the same person? Does the demon find Duncan its best choice becuase of the mutant factor that's dormant right now? I remember you've drawn a peice after his time in the regeneration tank that Dr.D created saying he thinks he has gifts. I hope you dont mind me asking this story has totally intrigued me!

the healing chamber is pretty much been removed from the forecast for Duncan because in recent months I've totally revamped the plot. However, do not be discouraged because there are alternatives. I'm just trying to smooth out all the wrinkles and to keep the story from dragging too long because I originally had a huge span of time going on- we're talkin' decades, here... Well, all of that has changed. Drakken still invents the healing chamber because that DOES play a role in aiding Drakken after a serious accident, which is what healed that nasty old scar on his face. That part doesn't change. What does change is that Duncan is no longer a recipient. There are bigger plans at hand for good ol' Dunc'.

I love what you're going to do with Candlejack in this fic - he's such a fun character in the show, and you just take him and turn the setting from 'cool' to 'psychadellic'! Great job with the expressions and the postioning and everything, too! (Though I am always impressed by both in your work, I don't think I've mentioned it for awhile, so I thought I'd bring it up! ^^) I love Freak especially in this - you can see very clearly that he wants to run to Duncan's side and help him, and that he's physically holding himself back because, for all his power, he can't help in this situation. Brilliant!
