This is the first picture i saw during my first ever encounter with Silent Hill Game (which belongs to a friend of mine). Interestingly, five years later I started really going through its influences/ inspiration and that was really interesting. I even started reading The Oresteia (Francis Bacon's Inspiration) and Shakespeare's plays.
The game is full of melancholy and nostalgia and this picture summarises everything.

Amazing... In my mind the image of Alessa has always associated with that photo near her bed in hospital. It's really amazing, there is a marks of sufferings in her look... and darkness. I am totally impressed!
